I can feel the sword in my hand
As if I were the one in the fight
I can hear the scream from the maiden
As she cries and shivers in fright

The smell of sea salt fills my nose
As we hunt the great white whale
And I can feel the water wash over me
As he splashes with his tail

You will smell the scented magnolias
And see the cotton fields
You will see all that is gone with the wind
In the power your imagination yields

But none of this will you see or feel
If you are unable to read
You must take the steps to literacy
So your imagination can be freed

Learn to read and you learn to live
The possibilities will astound
And when you pick up a storybook
You won ’t be able to put it down
